Sukorn Beach Bungalows & Tours organizes Island Hopping Tours for individual travelling couples, small groups of friends, families with children from November-May :

Trang Province in Southern Thailand is an interesting alternative to the well-known and crowded Phuket and Krabi Provinces.

Following Island Hopping Tour is a unique and exceptional way of exploring the many islands off the Trang coast. Every tour is strictly private and exclusively organized for the number of persons that asks for it, it is NOT a group-tour or so !

There is no fix time-schedule, no hurry, no musts. There will be plenty of time for snorkelling, fishing, swimming, sun-bathing: this all mainly depends on your interests and wishes.

You will travel in your ´own´, private, traditional longtailed boat with 02 local experienced boatmen and 01 English speaking guide at your service. They will show you and let you experience all aspects of typical island-life with its island-people in the Trang Sea.

The as many as 50 islands in the Trang Sea are not far from each other, but very different in vegetation, culture and geography.

The Island Hopping Tour includes:

• accommodation as mentioned including Breakfast,
• private transfers on Day 01 & 06 ex/to Trang Town, pick up/drop off from Krabi, Aonang, Koh Lanta, Phuket possible(surcharge).
• lunches on Day 03 & 04,
• 2 local boatmen and 1 English speaking guide at your service,
• your "own" chartered private, traditional longtailed-boat, with on board:
  

# basic fishing-gear,
# life-vests,
# BBQ for picknick-style small meals,
# softdrinks, drinking-water, snacks, fruits,
# snorkles/masks

Day 01:

Pick up by the guide in the morning and transfer by private car or mini-bus to the Pak Meng Pier, meetingpoint with the 2 boatmen.

Visit Koh Mah and Koh Cheuck for sightseeing and snorkelling: abundant colourful fish and soft corals.



Your guide could give you some first fishing-instructions and eventually you could ‘catch’ your own meal.

Next stop is at the popular tourist-resort Koh Ngai : time to relax, to make a walk, take a sunbath or snorkelling straight from the beach. We will reach the island of Koh Mook at Hat Farang Beach, one of the most beautiful beaches in the Trang Area.




Overnight on Koh Mook in good standard bungalows with Aircon or Fan and private bathroom incl. breakfast.

Day 02:

After breakfast and check-out, we will visit one of Trang´s highlights, "Tham Marakhot", the Emerald Cave on Koh Mook.




Approaching the western cliffs of the island, the entrance to the cave is hard to spot, indeed it is almost hidden at high tide. You will have to enter (swimming) a small tunnel that zigzags for some 80 metres through solid rock, partly absolutely dark, before emerging into an enchanting small lagoon, totally surrounded by towering cliffs, abundant vegetation and a small beach.

Another one hour with our boat and we reach the pristine beach of the Bounty-Paradise-island Koh Kradan.




We continue the tour to Koh Libong. Overnight on Koh Libong in good standard bungalows with Aircon or Fan and private bathroom incl. breakfast.

Day 03:

Today´s first stop is the unknown Koh Takiang with its nice reef, islolated beach and light-house.

Maybe you will see some sharks while snorkeling...

Next the beautiful twin islands of Koh Laoliang. Under the high lime-stone cliffs and on the beach we will visit the temporary fisherman village.
We will prepare our picknick-style lunch(incl.) with them and enjoy the freshly catched delicious fies, crabs and other sea-food.

After a last refreshing swim, we have less than one hour to go to ´land´ at the beach on Koh Sukorn, immediately in front of Sukorn Beach Bungalows, where you will stay the coming 3 nights.

Day 04 & 05:

To get familiar with Koh Sukorn, we will organize a Sukorn Island Tour in the morning of Day 04 by moterbike-taxi, tuk-tuk or pickup-truck, incl.
lunch in a typical Southern Thai private house. Rest of the stay at leisure: Koh Sukorn counts about 500 families / 2.800 inhabitants in 4 villages, most fishermen and (rubber-)farmers.

There are only a few cars on the island, transport mainly by foot and motorbike(-taxi). The island, 8 x 4 kms, not yet visited by many tourists, is rather flat, 2 hills reach 150 mtr.



Be welcome to meet the very friendly Sukorn people and enjoy the islands "green" nature during walking- or mountainbike-tours. See how rubber-latex is "tapped" from the trees, visit the small local crab-market and watch squid, shrimps and many other fresh fish arriving with the local fishermen on the many beaches.


Day 06:

Transfer back to Trang Town by private car & boat. End of the services in Trang Town.

Notes:

1. Due to weather–conditions only from November 01–April 30.

2. Children 07–12 years: 15% discount if sharing the parent´s room, the tour is not convenient for children younger than 07 years of age.

3. The tour starts in Trang Town on Day 01, better would be to stay one night in a Hotel in Trang.

Arrival on Day 01 by morning-train/bus or Air Asia/Nokair-flight from BKK is possible. Pick up/drop off from Krabi airport / Aonang, Koh Lanta, Phuket is possible (surcharge).

4. In some cases it will be better to start the tour with first 03 nights on Koh Sukorn and then 03 days on the boat with ending the tour on one of the other islands in the Trang Sea-area to extend your holiday.

5. Guests should bring a minimum on luggage during the 03 days on the boat: our staff will take care of your "big luggage": guests will find it back on Day 03 upon arrival in Sukorn Beach Bungalows on Koh Sukorn.

6. Prices include the National Park Entrance Fees.
